MUJI Bee

MUJI BEE

COPENHAGEN

Following the completion of MUJI Copenhagen, at Illum department store, MUJI continue to act as a sustainable retailer and supporting local businesses.

On one of the rooftop terraces, that was unable to be made public, MUJI are working with local bee organisation Bybi to create a natural home for some new bees.
To be seen and admired by shoppers, MUJI are working with Bybi to create a rooftop bee garden, helping to care for the environment and make the city centre more bee friendly!

The new garden is due to be completed in April 2021. Later in the year, the honey produced by the bees will be sustainably used, transforming it into various products.  MUJI will then support the local creators by using and selling the produce in store.

We’re proud to have been involved in this wonderful scheme, and we can’t wait to share more pictures as the scheme evolves over the coming months.

Henry joins MCa

22.01.2021

Starting off 2021 positively, we are delighted to welcome Henry Jaimes to the team.

Henry joins MCa after having worked for nearly 5 years at Franklin Ellis Architects in Nottingham. Here Henry was involved in different commercial projects such as hotels, residential and within the education sectors. Prior to his employment at Franklin Ellis Henry worked for a timber frame off-site manufacturer where he worked on very interesting modular projects like Urbansplash house, Yo! Home and Y:Cube by Rogers Stirk Harbour.

Henry moved to the UK after working predominantly on-site for about 12 years in Spain where he also completed a Master degree in Construction Management.

In his free time, he is a passionate mountain biker and enjoys the outdoors, hiking and cooking for his family.

Welcome Mick

14.12.2020

We are delighted to welcome back Mick to Marchini Curran Associates.

Mick joins MCa as after a three and a half year break working at ‘Leonard Design Architects’ where he’s recently practically completed on the ‘Waterside’ development at Trent Bridge amongst other local and international projects from all RIBA stages.

He re-joins us after an initial stint in 2014 when he completed his M.Arch at Nottingham Trent University (NTU).

Mick has been tutoring at NTU for 6 years and also is the RIBA elected Vice president of the ‘Nottingham and Derby Society of Architects’ (NDSA).

Mick enjoys the challenge of delivering a project on site and the fulfilment you get when it’s complete; he always strives to expand his knowledge further and develop client relationships.

On a personal note Mick is an aspiring pilot, budding mechanic, motorcyclist, scratch map addict, marksman, conservationist & garage hermit.
